Description:
The Computer Repair Technician works onsite at a client's
home or business and is responsible for diagnosing
and repairing computer equipment, servers, printers,
and other communications equipment and peripheral
computing devices. The position hours vary and are
an as-needed basis position.
REQUIRMENTS:
* Two years experience in similar position required,
four years experience preferred.
* MCP or A+ Certification would be greatly preferred;
however, experience in various computer repairs can
substitute.
* Technicians must be able to communicate effectively
with the office personnel and customers in a timely
manner.
* Excellent multitasking skills and the ability to
set priorities as needed.
JOB DUTIES:
* Diagnose and repair computers by completing service
calls at local businesses and residences in the Chicagoland
area, which consists of scheduling, diagnosing and
repairing of computer equipment, wireless networks,
printers and other related devices. Upgrade memory,
install parts, and configure computer devices and
networks.
*Assist customers with ordering
proper parts or purchasing the parts with reimbursement.
*Performs upgrades and installs
software on computers and related equipment.
* Records and documents all
work performed.
* Ability to be flexible for
a work schedule.
*Ability to work daytime hours
is a huge plus.
*Must be able to work independently
as well as with others and have excellent customer
service skills.
*Strong communication and trouble-shooting
skills.
*Ability to streamline
processes and prioritize tasks.
*Self starter
and highly motivated.
* Wireless networking experience
is a plus.
*
Must have be able to use own automobile, have a valid
Illinois Drivers' License and liability and other
automobile insurance as required by law.
* Must
have a laptop.
* Knowledge of Win98 , Win
XP , Win 2000 , Server 2000 , 2003, Vista

Gas allowance and phone allowance
provided in addition to an hourly rate and opportunity
for bonuses. All technicians are background and reference
checked.
